I’m just gonna say it: The term “Coach” gives me the ick. And “Consultant”? Not much better. Too stuffy and pretentious.
I only call myself a small business coach and consultant because that’s what Google understands. In reality, I’m more like your business partner, strategist, and friend that will tell it to you straight. No fluff, no snake oil, no “do this one easy thing and make seven figures!” Just real plans with an accountability pal.
As a coach, I’ll help you find clarity by asking the tough questions, stay on track, and build your confidence. As a consultant, I’ll be the subject-matter expert that digs into your biz and marketing problems and gives you the answers based on years of invaluable experience.
Before starting this business, I was laid off from my job as a Creative Director. After 15+ years of climbing the shaky corporate ladder, I was officially over it. I held a variety of roles such as Copywriter, Strategist, and Marketing Director, and worked for top global agencies serving Fortune 500 companies like Disney+, Walmart, General Motors, American Express, and more (view my portfolio site here). While I enjoyed the type of work I did, I felt like a cog in the capitalist machine. I wanted more. I wanted to help other people like me who wanted to build something for themselves.
Like most entrepreneurs I’ve had a billion business ideas, and I know what it takes to narrow your focus to the right one and make it happen. I started a floral design business that was profitable from day 1 and ran it for 8 years until I decided it was time for something new. I have a thriving freelance copywriting business and I’m a real estate investor with short and long-term rentals. (I pride myself on being an Airbnb Superhost!).
But, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t agonizing at times trying to figure out my next step.
Do any of these sound like you?
You don’t want to work for someone else anymore
You want to pour your skills and energy into something for yourself and your family
You have so many business ideas but you’re not sure which to pursue
You want to start a business but have no idea what
You have a great biz idea but don’t know where to begin or how to bring it to life
You own a business but you’re overwhelmed trying to keep all the plates in the air
You are too busy working IN the business to work ON the business
You know what you’re good at but need help with the rest
You are frustrated, fed up, and finally ready to put in the work
You want to stop spinning your wheels and start moving forward
If you answered “yes” to any of these, I’ve been in your shoes. Now it’s time to make moves.
